Hydrocolloid

Characteristics

Hydrocolloid adhesives are rubber-based and pressure-sensitive with infused particles to allow the adhesive to absorb a significant amount of fluid. Particles absorb fluid until saturation and form a soft, moist gel. Makes the dressing conducive to moist wound healing and atraumatic removal.
